$15 million Laidley Flood Mitigation

The flood mitigation project will be funded through the Queensland Betterment Fund, which will receive $80 million per year, including a $40 million contribution from the Queensland Government— an investment in disaster resilience in a generation.

It rightly includes improvements to water diversion, infrastructure reinforcement, and measures aimed at reducing flood risk to critical parts of the town.

With increases in development in the area these projects enable liability in a housing crisis and is welcome.
