Toowoomba by far had more local stories and favoured this dramatically. Some stories where recycled into Brisbane's feed like the crash. The story about auctions in Brisbane seems to be a packaged story sold to 7.
The Toowoomba news casters and weather man appear to be cyndicated to several regional areas of Queensland. Brisbane appears to have local casters.
I feel that the tradional reporting from Toowoomba as well as the local interest is better to watch, but lacks national and international news which is important.
The quality of news provided by 7 is still superior to the other news services, including ABC which is still stuck in its state and national based news. Rarely do they have local news.
Quality news is important. It drives interest in viewership and engagement. If divesting services and attempting to streamline this you will lose your audience. If people turn to watch and receive a news broadcast with local interest stories then you will be in a better position.
Having stories of National and international interest provide a lens for the community and caters for more audiences.
My only disappointment is that I'm unable to watch Toowoomba feed live. And Toowoomba has no news on the weekend, not even weather. Growing population expects similar services, this also goes with renaming most stations from being Queensland news to local city news.
